World Cup LIVE: Manchester United announce Cristiano Ronaldo is leaving, Saudi Arabia celebrate shock win over Argentina despite Lionel Messi goal, Robert Lewandowski misses penalty, France in action

It’s day three of the 2022 World Cup and there’s been the biggest shock by far.

Lionel Messi’s Argentina were beaten 2-1 defeat by Saudi Arabia in the early kick-off as the side ranked 51 in the world pulled off one of the biggest upsets in the tournament’s history.

Denmark and Tunisia followed that up with a goalless draw as did Mexico and Poland where Robert Lewandowski missed a penalty.

France play Australia later at 7pm in the final game of the day.

However, the biggest news of all came when Manchester United announced Cristiano Ronaldo WILL LEAVE the club by mutual consent.
