Why I Hope Man City Wins the Title After Disagreement with Arteta and Arsenal Staff

Date:

Former Oxford United manager Karl Robinson has revealed that he and his coaching staff do not have a good relationship with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta. The two faced off against each other in the FA Cup third round, which saw Arsenal win 3-0 thanks to a brace from Eddie Nketiah and a Mohamed Elneny header. However, it was Arteta’s behaviour during the game that left a sour taste in Robinson’s mouth. Speaking to talkSPORT, Robinson said that he had seen Arteta’s antics first hand and that there were one or two members of his staff who did not conduct themselves well. Robinson also revealed that one of Arteta’s staff members had called him a cheat during the game. Despite this, Robinson hopes that Arteta’s former mentor, Pep Guardiola, will win the Premier League title with Manchester City this season. Arsenal’s gap to City is now just four points after they threw away another two-goal lead against West Ham, making their upcoming clash on April 26 a potentially pivotal game of the season.
