Who are bet365 customers backing to win the Championship? Punters favour Norwich to win outright and Hull for promotion

The Championship is back this month for the 2022/23 season in under a couple of weeks.

Punters have been backing various sides to win the league and there might be a few surprises for EFL fans to see which teams have been backed the most and who is not inspiring much hope.

With Teemu Pukki at the front it’s no surprise to see the Canaries fancied to win as the Finnish forward has netted 55 Championship goals

Norwich City, fresh from relegation from the Premier League are the most-backed to win the Championship outright.

While Burnley, also recently relegated, are the second-most bet on team to win the Championship.

Middlesbrough have been busy this summer and there’s a lot of hope they will go one better than last season and are third in the list of all sides.

    1. Norwich
    2. Burnley

But there are some big differences in those who are well-backed to win outright in comparison to the teams most bet on to gain promotion – which means through achieving a first or second place finish, or winning the Championship Play-Off Final.

One reason for that could be the prices, Reading for instance are one of the biggest prices to win and after signing seven players many fans will be after that 50/1 price, despite the Royals’ transfer embargo.

But the Berkshire outfit are just 20/1 to gain entry into the Premier League.

Hull have been the most popular bet in the promotion market, and at odds of 12/1 there’s clearly a lot of hope the Tigers can climb the table.
