When does the Premier League return? All the key 2022/23 season diary dates as the top-flight returns after the World Cup

    The Premier League is nearing its return and top-flight teams will be readying themselves for action after over a month off.

    The World Cup came to a spectacular end last weekend as Lionel Messi’s Argentina claimed glory in Qatar and now, the focus will be switching back to domestic football.

    There will be no break for the players who are returning from Qatar, with the busy Christmas period kicking off the second half of the season.

    The Carabao Cup final is now on the horizon too while the other cups will stretch into June due to the impacts of the World Cup.

    When is the Premier League back?

    The Premier League will restart on Boxing Day – Monday, December 26.

    The fixtures will get the top-flight back underway with all 20 teams taking part in games over three days of action.
