The latest chapter in the increasingly hostile rivalry between Manchester City and Liverpool takes place at the Etihad this weekend.

In previous years, the showdown in Manchester would have serious title consequences for both teams, such has been their unrivalled dominance of English football in recent years.

However, only Manchester City will head into the game with their Premier League title aspirations on the line with Liverpool currently languishing down in sixth place.

Pep Guardiola’s side will be desperate to not lose any more ground to Arsenal, who are eight points clear at the league summit – although The Gunners have played a game more than City.

Here is everything you need to know about the blockbuster meeting, including what time it starts and how to watch on TV and live stream.

What time does the game kick-off?

Manchester City vs Liverpool will kick-off on Saturday, April 1 at 12.30pm.

How to watch Manchester City vs Liverpool on TV and live stream

The game will be shown live on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Ultimate, with coverage commencing on both channels from 11.30am.

BT Sport customers will be able to live stream the match with the BT Sport app and web player.

Fans without a BT subscription who wish to watch the clash can still do so by purchasing a BT Sport monthly pass for £29.99.

How to listen on radio

Exclusive live radio commentary will be available to listen to on talkSPORT, with the build-up getting underway from 11am.

What happened in the reverse fixture?

Liverpool snatched the win in the meeting between the sides back in October.

Mohamed Salah scored a sensational individual goal with just under 15 minutes remaining on the clock, deftly controlling Alisson’s long kick before spinning past Joao Cancelo and firing past Ederson in front of the Kop.

Earlier in the match, Guardiola was left irate when a Phil Foden goal was ruled out by VAR after Erling Haaland was adjudged to have fouled Fabinho in the build-up.

The defeat against Jurgen Klopp’s men ended City’s unbeaten start to the season and left them four points adrift of leaders Arsenal.
