West Ham Offers £25,000 Reward for Information on Kurt Zouma’s House Break-In
West Ham Captain Misses Game Following Traumatic Incident
West Ham Football Club is offering a £25,000 reward for any information regarding a break-in at the house of their captain, Kurt Zouma, on Saturday night. The incident resulted in Zouma’s absence from Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace.
The Sun reports that Zouma, his wife, and their young family were left “traumatized” by the attack. Armed raiders allegedly escaped with £100,000 worth of cash and jewelry.
Following the incident, the police warned Zouma’s neighbors about the gang. It is worth noting that Zouma resides on a street with private security.
West Ham has released a statement regarding the robbery, stating, “West Ham United has offered a £25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of the burglars who broke into defender Kurt Zouma’s home on the eve of the club’s Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace this weekend.
“Kurt’s home was broken into on Saturday while all his family were in the house, leaving everyone present extremely distressed. While thankfully no one was harmed, it was a traumatic experience for the West Ham United defender, his wife, and their young family.”
Support from West Ham United
The statement further adds, “The burglars took items of significant value and of huge personal and sentimental importance to the family. The West Ham United family continues to offer Kurt’s family their full support.”
West Ham initially cited “personal reasons” for Zouma’s absence from the game against Crystal Palace. Zouma, who became the club captain after Declan Rice, lives with his wife Sandra and their four children.
