West Ham fans were left concerned and outraged after midfielder Tomas Soucek sustained a bloody and bruised injury during the match against Manchester United. Soucek received extensive treatment in the first half of the game after suffering a cut under his eye.

Although Soucek was able to continue playing after being patched up, he displayed a severe black eye as a result of an aerial duel with Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes. It appeared that Soucek made contact with his own teammate Lucas Paqueta during the incident.

This is not the first time the Czech midfielder has faced injuries while playing for West Ham. Fans expressed their concern, with one remarking, “I want to see a side by side comparison of Soucek’s appearance before and after joining us because his face has taken a beating.”

West Ham Fans Show Support for Soucek

West Ham fans took to social media to show their support for Soucek. One fan stated, “Soucek won’t live to see 60 because he puts his life on the line for this club.” Another fan commented, “Poor Tomas Soucek rarely gets through a game without a black eye or a swollen/cut face.” Another fan humorously added, “Death, taxes, and Soucek getting a cut to his face. I just know his wife hates football.”

Fortunately, West Ham fans had something to celebrate as Jarrod Bowen scored, putting the team ahead. Mohammed Kudus later sealed a 2-0 victory for West Ham.

Soucek’s Previous Injury

Last month, Soucek suffered a horrific injury while on international duty. During a match against Southampton, he was involved in a tussle with Jan Bednarek and ended up on the floor. Bednarek accidentally kicked Soucek in the face, leaving him bloodied and with visible scars. Despite the injury, Soucek managed to play the entire 90 minutes of the match with bandaging around his head.

Overall, Soucek’s resilience and dedication to the game have earned him admiration from fans, despite the frequent injuries he sustains.
