He was unveiled to a heroes welcome after arriving in Istanbul, and has wasted no time in endearing himself to Besiktas’ fanatical fans.

Alli scored his first goal for the club in this evening’s Super Lig clash against Ankaragucu.

The 26-year-old drifted into the box and got on the end of a header from Burnley loanee Wout Weghorst.

He made no mistake from close range, slamming home into the back of the net to put Besiktas 2-1 ahead.

It was his first league goal for a whopping 378 DAYS.

He last found the back of the net in a league game way back in October 2021 while he was still at Tottenham.

That was during a 1-0 win away at Wolves.

And it was his first goal in all competitions since netting in a 5-1 Europa Conference League win over Slovenian minnows NS Mura on September 30, 2021.

Alli made an instant impact on his debut in midweek with a brilliant solo run and cheeky nutmeg.

The midfielder endured a miserable eight months at Everton after joining from Spurs on a permanent deal in January.

In 13 appearances for the Toffees he failed to score or provide an assist.

But he has wasted no time in getting going with his new side.
