# Wataru Endo Officially Joins Liverpool, Confirms Shirt Number
Liverpool Football Club has officially announced the signing of Japanese international Wataru Endo, who joins the Reds from Stuttgart. The 30-year-old midfielder has been given the No. 3 shirt, last worn by Fabinho.
Endo is the third signing of the summer for Liverpool, following the arrivals of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai. The deal is worth in the region of £16.24 million and marks a dream come true for Endo in a career that has seen him ply his trade in Japan, Belgium and Germany.
The Japan captain arrives to inject experience back into the team after James Milner, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho all departed for different projects. He is held in high regard in Germany after 133 appearances for Stuttgart and can operate at centre-back and has even had a taste at right-back.
