Minnesota Vikings Offensive Coordinator Wes Phillips Arrested for Driving While Intoxicated
Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Wes Phillips was arrested on Friday night and charged with driving while intoxicated, as reported by the Minnesota State Patrol.
Arrest Details
The arrest took place at 11 p.m. in Eden Prairie, a suburb of Minnesota, according to Hennepin County Records. Phillips was released at 1:26 a.m. after posting a $300 bond. His court appearance is scheduled for December 21.

“Wes immediately notified the team following his arrest last night,” stated a Vikings spokesperson. “This morning, we contacted the NFL and, after internal discussion, made the decision that Wes will travel with the team to Las Vegas this afternoon. We will continue to gather information regarding the incident and provide further comment at the appropriate time.”
About Wes Phillips
Phillips, aged 44, is the son of former NFL head coach Wade Phillips and the grandson of renowned coach Bum Phillips. He was one of Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell’s initial hires in 2022, both coming from Los Angeles, where Phillips served as the tight ends coach for the Rams.
