Victor Osimhen: Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool Target Only Interested in Two Clubs

Overview

Victor Osimhen has attracted interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe following a sensational season in which he scored 31 goals in 39 games. Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool are all interested in signing the Nigerian, but former Napoli midfielder Salvatore Bagni has revealed that Osimhen is only willing to join two clubs this summer.

Manchester United Interest

Manchester United are expected to sign a new striker this summer after releasing Cristiano Ronaldo at the end of last year and relying on Burnley loanee Wout Weghorst for much of the 2022-23 campaign. Osimhen has been linked with a move to Old Trafford and could be the perfect fit for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

Chelsea Interest

Chelsea will also spend big on a goalscorer for new manager Mauricio Pochettino as they prepare to sell Romelu Lukaku and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang following miserable spells at Stamford Bridge. Osimhen could be the perfect man to lead the line for the Blues and help them challenge for silverware next season.

Liverpool Interest

Liverpool have also been linked with a move for Osimhen but the 24-year-old would only be interested in a summer move to two clubs, according to Bagni. The Reds are in need of a goalscorer and Osimhen could be the perfect fit for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Napoli’s Position

Napoli have insisted they plan to keep hold of Osimhen this summer but the club’s president has offered hope to clubs hoping to secure his signature. Aurelio de Laurentiis said earlier in the month that they had already agreed a two-year extension of his contract, but if an offer came in that he could not refuse then they would consider it.

Risk Factor

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has highlighted the ‘only risk’ facing Premier League clubs if they sign Osimhen this summer. He said that while the Nigerian ticks every box in terms of ability and profile, there is an unknown factor of whether he can adapt to the Premier League.

Conclusion

Victor Osimhen is one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe and it looks like he will be on the move this summer. Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool are all interested in signing him, but it appears that he is only willing to join two clubs. It remains to be seen which team he will choose, but one thing is for sure – he will be a great addition to whichever team he joins.
