Trent Reveals Jones Form Secret

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones are both enjoying their new roles in Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool setup, with Jones having “stepped up” significantly. On Monday night, the two Scousers from the academy made the difference in a 3-0 victory over Leicester, with Jones scoring twice in four first-half minutes and Alexander-Arnold striking midway through the second half. Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Alexander-Arnold praised his team-mate’s upturn in form, noting that he has “shown his quality on and off the ball” and “sets standards for himself.” Alexander-Arnold also highlighted the importance of his more advanced role in the new 3-5-2 system, allowing Jones to “stay high” and “score more goals and assist more.” Jones agreed, noting that having Alexander-Arnold as a “calm on the ball” player who “plays forward a lot” allows him to “stay in between the lines.” The two are hopeful that their newfound success will continue.
