Transfer news LIVE: Livepool could allow Mohamed Salah sale, Arsenal strike Gabriel Jesus deal and intensify Raphinha efforts, Kalvin Phillips agrees Man City move, Newcastle close to Sven Botman as Chelsea plot signings

The 2022/23 Premier League season is less than two months away and clubs are working hard to improve their squads in the summer transfer window.

Champions Manchester City moved quickly to wrap up the signing of Erling Haaland, one of the most highly rated players in the game, and have now agreed a deal to sign Kalvin Phillips from Leeds.

Arsenal are also stepping up their business after reaching a £45million agreement to sign Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City.

Liverpool have also been busy already with the signings of Darwin Nunez, Calvin Ramsay and Fabio Carvahlo, while Sadio Mane has exited to join Bayern Munich – but the biggest movement could be the possible sale of Mohamed Salah.

Tottenham have already done plenty of business, landing experienced Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, and goalkeeper Fraser Forster on free transfers and following that up with a £25m deal for Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma.

Manchester United, meanwhile, are set for a big summer rebuild under new manager Erik ten Hag, with Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong among their main targets, and newly-rich Newcastle will also splash the cash – with Nick Pope their latest recruit.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are set to send Romelu Lukaku back to Inter Milan on loan as they try and secure a deal for Man City forward Raheem Sterling.
