“Tottenham’s Strategy to Retain Harry Kane with Lucrative Salary Proposal”

Date:

Tottenham Hotspur is making a strong push to convince star striker Harry Kane to stay at the club. With only one year left on his contract, Kane has attracted interest from Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain this summer. However, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is determined to keep Kane and is willing to offer him a post-playing career if he extends his contract.

Bayern Munich, the reigning Bundesliga champions, have already had two offers rejected for Kane, with the second offer worth £70 million. Despite interest from PSG, Kane’s preference is a move to Bavaria. He is believed to have verbally agreed terms with Bayern and has met with manager Thomas Tuchel, who has convinced him that they can win the Champions League together.

However, Tottenham’s hierarchy remains optimistic that they can persuade Kane to stay at the club beyond 2024. Following his return to training, the club has restarted their charm offensive. Kane reported back for pre-season on Wednesday, and Spurs have tabled a contract offer worth £400,000-a-week, which would make him one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League.

In addition to the financial incentive, Tottenham is also exploring ways to keep Kane at the club after his playing career ends. The club has a track record of nurturing the coaching careers of former players like Ryan Mason and Jermain Defoe. They could also offer Kane an ambassadorial role, similar to the job held by former captain Ledley King.

Another option being considered is a sporting director role, similar to Mark Noble’s position at West Ham. Tottenham wants to keep all options on the table to ensure Kane’s long-term commitment to the club.

Kane has recently had his first meeting with new manager Ange Postecoglou. While it was not a transfer showdown, Postecoglou wanted to get to know his star player. The meeting went well, and Kane is reportedly impressed with what he has seen at training under the new regime.

Tottenham’s efforts to convince Kane to stay come as Paris Saint-Germain also prepares a bid for the forward. The bid could potentially reach nine figures, but Kane’s preference remains a move to Bayern Munich.

In conclusion, Tottenham Hotspur is making a strong push to convince Harry Kane to extend his contract and stay at the club. Despite interest from Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is determined to keep Kane and is offering him a post-playing career at the club. With a lucrative contract offer and potential future roles within the club, Tottenham hopes to persuade Kane to remain at his boyhood club beyond 2024.
