Bayern Munich Make Move for Harry Kane
Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been the subject of a €70 million (£60m) bid from Bayern Munich, according to reports. The Bundesliga champions have tested the waters with their offer, but Spurs are believed to be demanding a fee of £100m for the 29-year-old.
Manchester United had been interested in signing Kane this summer, but have quickly pulled out of the running due to the costs involved. Bayern have also opted to not pursue a deal for Randal Kolo Muani, who is also wanted by Manchester United, as Eintracht Frankfurt are demanding €100 million (£85.9m) for the 24-year-old forward.
Bayern Make Kane Their Priority Target
The Athletic report that Bayern have made Kane their priority target and have held extensive talks with the striker’s brother and agent over the past few days. It’s understood that Kane’s response to Bayern’s approach has been ‘very positive’ and that a move to the Bundesliga champions would be his destination if he left the Premier League this summer.
Sky Germany report that Bayern’s opening bid has already been turned down by Spurs, but the club are still hopeful of striking a deal for the England international. Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen’s management team have been informed that Bayern are pressing ahead with a move for Kane and a deal for the Napoli striker is ‘off the table’.
Tottenham Close in on Maddison Deal
Tottenham are also close to signing Leicester City ace James Maddison ahead of Newcastle United. The 23-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium this summer, with Spurs now in pole position to sign him.
Jurrien Timber is also intent on joining Arsenal after rejecting a move to Bayern Munich. The 19-year-old Ajax midfielder is reportedly keen to make the switch to the Emirates Stadium this summer, with Arsenal believed to be in advanced talks with Ajax over a potential transfer.
Finally, a UK ticket holder has become richer than Harry Kane after winning £55,000,000 on the Euromillions jackpot. The lucky winner has become one of the biggest lottery winners in British history and is now richer than the Tottenham striker, who is believed to be worth around £50m.
