Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United’s Harry Maguire, following the appointment of new manager Ange Postecoglou. With Postecoglou willing to let go of up to seven first-team players, including Davinson Sanchez and Clement Lenglet, Spurs are looking to make progress with their summer rebuilding plan. Maguire, who has only started 16 times in all competitions this season and was an unused substitute in last weekend’s FA Cup final defeat against Manchester City, is rumoured to be in line for a £10 million pay-off if he leaves United this summer. While United manager Erik ten Hag still values Maguire and would be happy to retain him as part of his squad next season, he understands that the former Leicester City centre-half needs regular football in order to retain his place in Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions set-up for Euro 2024.
