Amar Dedic Attracting Interest from Top European Clubs
Amar Dedic, the talented 21-year-old right-back from RB Salzburg and Bosnia and Herzegovina, has captured the attention of several top European clubs. Premier League giants Chelsea, Arsenal, and Newcastle are among the interested parties.
Impressive Rise to Prominence
Dedic gained valuable experience during loan spells at Liefering and Wolfsberger AC before breaking into the Salzburg first team last season. Since then, he has quickly risen to prominence.
Champions League Performances
The young defender started all six group stage games in Salzburg’s Champions League campaign this season. He also gained experience in both the Champions and Europa League last season.
According to The Sun, there is significant interest from various clubs for Dedic’s services. He has already scored five goals this season from defense.
Wide Range of Suitors
While Chelsea, Arsenal, and Newcastle lead the interest from the Premier League, other top clubs such as Barcelona, Inter Milan, and Roma are also keen on signing Dedic.
Last summer, Jose Mourinho’s Roma made a bid of over £21m for Dedic, which was rejected. However, it is highly likely that he will make a move to a big club in 2024.
Versatility and Contract
In addition to his primary position as a right-back, Dedic can also operate across the back four, making him an attractive prospect for potential suitors.
Although Dedic signed a contract extension in January, keeping him at Salzburg until 2027, bids are expected to come in for him next summer and possibly even next month.
When asked about a potential move to Roma in January, Dedic stated that his focus is currently on Salzburg and their upcoming matches.
