After Graeme Souness’ emotional farewell to Sky Sports following 15 years as a pundit, the network is reportedly considering several candidates to replace him. Among the potential replacements are Frank Lampard, who has experience as a pundit for BT Sport and the BBC; Steven Gerrard, who has worked as a pundit for BT Sport and Channel 4; Karen Carney, who has risen to prominence on Sky Sports’ Friday Night Football show; Robbie Keane, who provides insight as a Betway ambassador and has appeared on Sky Sports more often this season; Kieron Dyer, who has been brought on by Sky Sports this season after stepping down from his coaching role at Ipswich; and Sue Smith, who provides analysis of the WSL for Sky Sports and appears regularly as a pundit on Soccer Saturday. It remains to be seen who will ultimately replace Souness as Sky Sports’ lead pundit.
