Arsenal’s Summer Transfer Targets Revealed
Arsenal is eyeing a number of top-class strikers for the upcoming summer transfer window, with the club’s business heavily dependent on player sales, as per reports. The Gunners, currently in a tight title race with Manchester City and Liverpool, are also set to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Despite their strong performance this season, Arsenal has struggled with a lack of a prolific goalscorer, with Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah only managing nine Premier League goals combined. This has led to increased speculation about the club’s interest in new forwards, with names like Evan Ferguson, Viktor Gyokeres, and Victor Osimhen making the shortlist.
While Osimhen may be out of Arsenal’s price range, Gyokeres, who has been in impressive form for Sporting in Portugal, could be a more affordable option. RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko is another young talent that Arsenal is considering, with a release clause of just £43 million.
Brighton’s Evan Ferguson is highly rated by the Gunners, but his hefty price tag of over £100 million may prove to be a stumbling block. Newcastle’s Alexander Isak has also been linked with Arsenal, although a move for the striker is currently deemed unlikely.
Arsenal’s pursuit of a new striker will heavily rely on the funds generated from player sales, as manager Mikel Arteta is also looking to strengthen other areas of the squad. In addition to a forward, Arteta is keen on bringing in a midfielder, a back-up winger, potentially a left-back, and a replacement goalkeeper if Aaron Ramsdale departs.
With competition from other top clubs and financial constraints to consider, Arsenal will have to carefully navigate the summer transfer market to secure their desired targets. Stay tuned for more updates on Arsenal’s transfer plans.
