Tony Adams Criticizes Arteta's Arsenal Lineup vs Forest

Tony Adams was unimpressed with Mikel Arteta’s team selection against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, questioning the Arsenal manager’s decision to field Thomas Partey at right-back and Jakub Kiwior at left-back. Adams said the selection played into Nottingham Forest’s hands, as they were able to counter-attack and take advantage of the disjointed Arsenal defence. He added that he was disappointed by the decision to put Partey and Kiwior in the full-back positions, when Kieran Tierney was fit enough to make the bench. Adams also expressed his confusion at the team selection, saying it was unclear what Arteta was trying to achieve. The former Arsenal captain concluded that the Gunners had given Forest a “leg up” and played into their hands.
