Thomas Tuchel and Emma Hayes have both been introduced to Todd Boehly as the takeover of Chelsea moves closer.
The American mogul, who owns the LA Dodgers, paid a visit to the club’s training ground in Cobham this week where he cast his eyes over the team’s training and met the head coaches of both the men’s and women’s sides.
He also met the club’s head of youth development, Neil Bath, the man responsible for developing the club’s academy talent.
Boehly is hoping to wrap up a deal to purchase the club after emerging as the leading candidate to complete a deal following the UK sanctions put in place on current owner, Roman Abramovich.
Chelsea have confirmed that the American had agreed terms over a deal, with Boehly pairing up with fellow Dodgers owner Mark Walter, British businessman Jonathan Goldstein, Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss and US investment firm Clearlake Capital in their consortium offer for the Blues.
So far Boehly has attended home fixtures for both the men’s and women’s teams, however he has now gone a step further and introduced himself to both Tuchel and Hayes, with Hayes saying that the soon-to-be owner was ‘a perfect fit’.
“I had lunch with Todd,” Hayes said. “He watched the girls train, I had a really lovely couple of hours with him.
“[He was] delightful, really passionate, he’s just a normal down to earth guy, really passionate about Chelsea, he loves Chelsea.

Boehly is likely to be in attendance on a big weekend for Chelsea as both the men’s and the women’s teams take part in their respective FA Cup finals on Saturday and Sunday, with both fixtures being broadcast live on talkSPORT.
Tuchel’s side face Liverpool at Wembley Stadium on Saturday with coverage getting underway at 1pm, while Hayes’ side will face Manchester City on Sunday with the aim of capping off a glorious season.
