Erik ten Hag believes Marcus Rashford and Manchester United “will find each other” in the ongoing contract discussions between the striker and his boyhood club. Despite Rashford’s impressive season, scoring 29 goals in all competitions, Ten Hag refused to comment on the negotiations and instead focused on the team’s current goals. He said that Rashford wants to stay and United want him to stay, so they will eventually come to an agreement. Ten Hag also said that Rashford is a doubt for Saturday’s match against Bournemouth due to illness, despite returning to training earlier this week after an injury. He urged the team to focus on the next game and continue improving every day and every game in order to secure Champions League qualification. Fourth-placed United are a point ahead of Liverpool with a game in hand and two wins from their remaining three games would guarantee them a place in the top four.
