Manchester City have made history by becoming the eighth team to win the treble in European football. Barcelona have achieved the treble twice, in 2008/09 under Guardiola and in 2014/15 with Luis Enrique, while Bayern have also won the treble on two separate occasions, with Jupp Heynckes securing the first in 2012/13, before Hans-Dieter Flick added a second in 2019/20. Celtic became the first British club to win it in 1966/67 with their Champions League triumph remaining the only time a Scottish club has won the European Cup. Manchester United were the first English club to clinch the treble in 1998/99. United beat Arsenal to the Premier League title by a single point before overcoming Newcastle in the FA Cup final. They then completed the feat by beating Bayern Munich in one of the most dramatic finals in Champions League history.
