Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has dismissed reports linking him with a move to Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the Scottish Cup final against Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Saturday. Postecoglou said that the reported interest “doesn’t register” with him and that he is focused on preparing his team for the big day. Victory against Inverness CT at Hampden Park in Glasgow would secure a domestic treble for Celtic, and a fifth trophy out of six available in Scotland for Postecoglou.
When asked if he could reassure fans he would be at the club next season, Postecoglou said that anything he says now would mean nothing if they don’t win on Saturday. He added that it is his responsibility to make sure it is a special day for the supporters.
Regarding the fitness of Kyogo Furuhashi, who has 33 goals this season, Postecoglou revealed that the Japanese striker has not trained this week but is still “pretty bullish” about playing. He added that they will be guided by Kyogo and if he gives them the green light, he will be put in the team.
The match will be broadcast on BBC One Scotland, BBC Scotland & BBC iPlayer, listen on BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Radio 5 live & BBC Sounds, and there will be live text commentary on the BBC Sport website & app. Kick-off is at 17:30 BST.
