Sky Sports Secures Record 215 Premier League Matches Per Season from 2025 to 2029

Sky Sports has recently announced that they have successfully secured the rights to broadcast a record-breaking 215 Premier League matches per season from 2025 to 2029. This means that Sky Sports will now be able to show a staggering 70% more matches compared to their current coverage.

Expanded Coverage

With this new deal, Sky Sports will have the ability to broadcast multiple matches simultaneously during the 2pm Sunday slot. This will provide football fans with even more options and ensure that they don’t miss out on any of the action. However, the Saturday 12:30pm kick-off slot will remain on TNT Sports.

In addition to the increased number of matches, TNT Sports has also secured the rights to broadcast two mid-week rounds of fixtures, bringing their total tally of games to 52.

The Premier League’s total UK TV deal is now worth a staggering £6.7bn, representing a significant four percent increase from its current deal. This demonstrates the continued popularity and value of Premier League football in the UK.
