Sky Sports Managing Director Rob Webster said: “Peter is one of the most highly respected commentators in the business and we are delighted to welcome him to Sky Sports. He has an exceptional track record in football commentary and his enthusiasm for the game is infectious. We look forward to him joining us for the start of the 2021/22 season.”

Drury will join a team of commentators at Sky Sports that includes Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Micah Richards, Jamie Redknapp and Graeme Souness. He will also be part of a team of presenters that includes David Jones, Kelly Cates, Ed Chamberlin and Geoff Shreeves.

The organisation has also been instrumental in developing new ways to watch football, such as their Sky Go service which allows customers to watch live matches on their mobile devices. With Drury joining their team of commentators, Sky Sports looks set to continue to be at the forefront of football broadcasting for many years to come.
