Manchester United is still up for grabs as Sheikh Jassim, a Qatari billionaire, is said to be preparing a fifth bid to win the battle for the club. Jassim’s fourth bid was submitted earlier this month and was supposed to be a final take-it-or-leave-it offer for 100% control of the club. However, the Glazers are still leaning towards rival Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s offer, which values the club at around £5.5bn and includes measures to allow the Glazers to continue as shareholders. Jassim is now considering submitting a fifth bid, which would likely have to be significantly more than Ratcliffe’s.
