Sheikh Jassim has submitted a third and final take-it-or-leave-it bid last Tuesday to buy Manchester United, with the Qatar claiming to be a fan of the club and vowing to wipe its debt and create a community fund to invest in the local area. However, Sir Jim Ratcliffe remains the frontrunner as he’s offered two of the six Glazer siblings a chance to remain shareholders in the club. If Jassim’s bid fails, he will attempt to buy Premier League rivals West Ham United, with Tottenham having been linked with a Qatar-based bid earlier this year. West Ham co-owner David Sullivan is open to offers for the club, who have the second biggest stadium in London and are through to the Europa Conference Final.
