Sevilla Set to Sign Manchester United Midfielder Hannibal Mejbri on Loan

Sevilla and Manchester United have reached a provisional agreement for the loan transfer of midfielder Hannibal Mejbri until the summer. The deal, reported by The Athletic last week, is a significant move for the 20-year-old Tunisia international.

The agreement includes an option to buy at €20 million, which includes add-ons, as well as a fixed buy-back clause. This arrangement ensures that if the purchase goes through, Manchester United would have a chance to regain control over Mejbri’s future.

Hannibal Mejbri is currently traveling to Spain to undergo a medical examination while the finalization of the transfer takes place. If the deal is completed, it would provide Manchester United with a substantial return on a player whose contract is set to expire in 2025.

Despite rival interest from Everton, Sevilla’s proposal was deemed more favorable by both Manchester United and Hannibal. The young midfielder has made 11 appearances this season, including five in the Premier League. However, he was not included in United’s squad for their recent 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur.

This move to Sevilla presents an exciting opportunity for Hannibal Mejbri to continue his development and gain valuable experience in La Liga. With the buy-back clause in place, Manchester United can closely monitor his progress and potentially bring him back to Old Trafford in the future.
