Sam Allardyce is back in the Premier League, having been out of the hot seat since the end of the 2020/21 season when he left West Brom. He will be joined by two former Liverpool figures in his backroom staff: former Reds academy coach Karl Robinson, who will act as his assistant, and ex-striker Robbie Keane. Leeds have been struggling in their battle against relegation, and with four games remaining and only above the relegation zone thanks to having a superior goal difference over Nottingham Forest (+eight), changes were made at the top. Allardyce and his staff will have their work cut out for them as they face Man City, Newcastle, West Ham and Tottenham in their last four games. Leeds players have since apologised for ignoring fans waiting at their hotel after a 4-1 defeat at Bournemouth.
