Mohamed Salah Enters Premier League’s Top 10 Goalscorers List
Mohamed Salah has made history by breaking into the Premier League’s top 10 goalscorers list. With his 151st goal in the English topflight, Salah surpassed Michael Owen to secure his place among the league’s greatest goalscorers.
Salah’s Impressive Goal Tally
Out of all the players in Premier League history, only nine have scored more goals than Salah. What sets him apart is that he is the only active player who continues to add to his tally. Starting the season with 139 league goals, Salah has already scored 12 goals, showcasing his exceptional finishing ability.
Since joining Liverpool, Salah has consistently raised the bar and broken numerous records. His remarkable achievements have cemented his place among the best players in English football.
Salah’s 151 goals came in just 245 league appearances, surpassing Owen’s record of 150 goals in 326 outings. While he scored his first two league goals during his time at Chelsea in the 2013/14 season, it is at Liverpool where he has truly established himself as a world-class winger.

Now that Salah has secured his place in the top 10, he is undoubtedly setting his sights on climbing even higher in the rankings. Jermain Defoe, in ninth place with 162 goals, and Robbie Fowler, with just one more goal than Salah, are his immediate targets. By scoring another 14 Premier League goals, Salah will move up to eighth place.
While there is a significant gap to bridge to reach Thierry Henry in seventh place (175 goals) and Frank Lampard in sixth place (177 goals), it is certainly within Salah’s reach. His success will depend on his prolific form this season and whether he remains at Liverpool beyond the summer.
