Antonio Rudiger Plans Revenge on Jude Bellingham and Real Madrid Teammates After Winning Goal Celebration
Antonio Rudiger, the former Chelsea defender, scored the winning goal for Real Madrid against Mallorca at the Bernabeu on Wednesday night. After heading the ball past Mallorca goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic, Rudiger celebrated with his teammates. However, the celebration was slightly painful for Rudiger as he was slapped by a number of his Real Madrid teammates, including Jude Bellingham.
When asked about being slapped by Bellingham, Vinicius Jr, and Joselu, Rudiger jokingly responded, “It’s not a problem for me. The next game Brahim, Bellingham, or Vini will score, and I will get them back.”
Jude Bellingham had a quiet evening in his and Real Madrid’s first match back since the winter break. Although he was unable to add to the 17 goals he’s already scored for Real Madrid since his big-money move in the summer, Ancelotti defended the England star, saying, “It shouldn’t be surprising that Jude Bellingham didn’t score… just remember that he’s a midfielder. The fact that he scores goals is an added bonus.”
The result against Mallorca means Real Madrid maintains their place at the top of LaLiga, level on points with early-season pace-setters Girona, who beat Atletico Madrid 4-3 on the same night.
