Jordan Pickford was on the receiving end of Roy Keane’s criticism after Everton’s defeat to Manchester City. The England goalkeeper had a poor game, conceding three goals, including two from Ilkay Gundogan and one from Erling Haaland. Keane was left unimpressed with Pickford’s performance and used just two words to disagree with fellow pundit Micah Richards’ assessment of the goalkeeper as a “top keeper”. Keane said that Pickford looked small in the goal and lacked anticipation. This is not the first time Keane has criticised a goalkeeper this season, having previously targeted Manchester United’s David de Gea after his mistakes against Everton and Liverpool.
