Rodrygo made one of the World Cup’s iconic moments when he rubbed Brazil legend Ronaldo’s legs for luck, and it appears to have worked.
Footballing icon Ronaldo was left in stitches when the Real Madrid youngster tried to transfer his powers, rubbing the two-time World Cup winner’s legs and then his own.
“I’ll take a little bit from here,” said the forward to much laughter, as he planned to lead favourites Brazil to glory.
Unfortunately for him, it was Argentina who took top honours, but his piece of magic appears to have worked.
Playing in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals against Atletico Madrid, the youngster scored a stunning equaliser with 11 minutes to play, sending his team on course to a 3-1 win.
And a day after the key victory, Real Madrid realised where they’d seen the goal before.
Posting on their Instagram account, Los Blancos showed the hilarious clip of Rodrygo transferring Ronaldo’s powers, but then a side-by-side of the two in their iconic white appears, both playing against Atleti.
Both collecting the ball around 40 yards from goal, they beat a midfielder in identical fashion with a feint, before darting past another, and bagging a tricky finish with the outside of their right boot.

Commenting on the video, Rodrgyo wrote: ‘Fenomenoooo’ in reference to Ronaldo’s ‘The Phenomenon’ nickname.
Speaking after the game, the youngster said: “I captured Ronaldo’s magic today and I hope that I can continue like this in the remaining matches.
“I can’t remember exactly how it happened. [Luka] Modric played the ball to me.
“I’ve been told that I went past four opponents and then finished with the outside of my foot.
“I like being in that position and I managed to do that. I tried to do it in training and it came off for me.”
