Roberto Firmino to Join Barcelona for Free from Liverpool

Date:

Reports suggest that Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has agreed to join Barcelona on a free transfer this summer. The 31-year-old’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has already confirmed that the forward will be leaving after eight seasons at Anfield. According to MailOnline, Firmino has now reached an agreement with Barcelona which will see him move to Camp Nou as a free agent. Barcelona had explored the possibility of signing a forward in January and had considered bringing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang back to the club, however, that move was blocked due to La Liga’s player registration rules. Meanwhile, Alisson and Fabinho both insist Firmino’s departure will be a huge loss for Liverpool.
