Tottenham’s Richarlison was forced to leave the pitch in tears just four minutes into the team’s match against Southampton at St Mary’s due to an injury. The Brazilian forward, who was making just his ninth Premier League start for Spurs following his £60million switch from Everton last summer, was replaced by Dejan Kulusevski. Richarlison is yet to score a league goal for Tottenham and recently expressed his frustration with his lack of minutes and Antonio Conte’s communication. However, he performed well in Tottenham’s recent match against Nottingham Forest, making an assist, winning a penalty, and having a goal of his own disallowed for a very narrow offside in the 3-1 win.
Despite his struggles this season, Richarlison was selected to start Saturday afternoon’s match against Southampton but was unfortunately forced to leave the pitch early due to injury.
