Replace Jeff Stelling Soccer Saturday Hosts

Jeff Stelling presented his last ever Soccer Saturday show on the final day of the Premier League 2022/23 season, after more than 25 years at the helm. His departure has sparked a race to land one of the biggest jobs in football media. Adam Smith is reportedly in pole position to land the job having impressed TV executives in auditions. Smith is best known for his spell on Soccer AM and he has also worked on talkSPORT, along with undertaking presenting duties for Tottenham and England. Julian Warren, who has long-since presented the midweek edition of the show and has filled in for Stelling on numerous occasions on a Saturday, is another potential replacement. Mark Chapman, who joined Sky in 2022 to front their coverage of the Carabao Cup alongside his existing BBC commitments, is another frontrunner for the role. Michelle Owen, who is already familiar to the Soccer Saturday audience as a reporter at grounds up and down the country, could also be in the running. Hayley McQueen, Sky Sports News’ longest-serving presenter, is another potential candidate. David Jones, who is already a full-on Premier League media star as host of Super Sunday and Monday Night Football, could combine the role with his other commitments. It remains to be seen who will replace Jeff Stelling as host of Soccer Saturday.
