Reece James Posts Emotional One-Word Response To Sister Lauren James’ World Cup Goal
Reece James has posted an emotional one-word response to his sister’s first World Cup goal.
It took six minutes for Lauren James to find the net as the Lionesses took on Denmark, to the delight of England fans.
Speaking after the match, the 21-year-old revealed her team-mates had a ‘feeling’ about her potential starring role in Friday’s game.
Lauren was left on the bench for Saturday’s clash with Haiti, but was handed a start from Sarina Wiegman for England’s second game of the tournament.
Reece James’ Emotional Response
Her brother Reece took to Twitter shortly after the full-time whistle to praise the fellow Chelsea star.
‘Proud’, he wrote.
Reece shared the Tweet with a throwback picture of the pair playing football together as children.
The 23-year-old hasn’t been shy in sharing his pride at the success of his sister who, as many pointed out, achieved an England goal before him.
