Frank Lampard has confirmed that Reece James and Mason Mount will miss the remainder of the season for Chelsea. James has been ruled out after a scan on a hamstring problem, while Mount has a pelvic injury. Lampard revealed that James had a hamstring injury in the midweek game and will require minor surgery and a four-week recovery period for Mount. Chelsea are in advanced talks with former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino to take charge, and Lampard said that the club has “big difficulties”. He added that he wouldn’t expect anything in football, but the team and club have been struggling for a while and they are there to help, though things won’t change in a short time.
