Real Madrid to ‘refuse’ to pay £130m asking price for Jude Bellingham, as Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United offered boost in race for England star

Real Madrid’s effort to sign Jude Bellingham may have hit a stumbling block due to Borussia Dortmund’s asking price.

The teenager’s other admirers Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea will be offered a boost as a result, as the Premier League rivals chase down one of football’s hottest prospects.

Plenty of big name clubs have been keeping tabs on the 19-year-old that moved to Borussia Dortmund for £25million after his meteoric rise at Birmingham City in 2020.

Real Madrid were one of the clubs at the front of the queue, with the Spanish giants keen to secure the Bundesliga star.

Now though, Los Blancos are said to be ‘refusing’ to pay for their top target after Dortmund slapped a £130million price tag on him, according to Spanish outlet Sport.

Given Bellingham is nailed on to feature alongside Declan Rice in midfield for England on the world stage at this winter’s World Cup, Dortmund are unlikely to budge on wanting big bucks for their star midfielder.

It has been widely reported Bellingham could leave his current employers in the summer for a huge fee.

Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has admitted he is keen to see the player remain with the German club, but has said they will have to concede to big offers.

With Real Madrid being put off by Bellingham’s price, though, this of course leaves the door open for the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea to swoop in for him.

Given the Red Devils are set to lose one star, recruiting the Dortmund ace into their ranks wouldn’t come as a surprise.

Liverpool are also said to be keen, with them looking to freshen up their ageing midfield.

Meanwhile Chelsea also interested in the England youngster, with it being understood they’ve monitored him since his time at Birmingham.
