Real Madrid considers transfer for relegated Leeds player.

Date:

Rodrigo, the Leeds forward, is uncertain about his future at Elland Road as Real Madrid consider a move for him. The 32-year-old Spaniard scored 13 goals in the Premier League last season but could not prevent Leeds from being relegated to the Championship. Despite this, Leeds are keen to keep Rodrigo, who they signed from Valencia for £26m in 2020. However, Real Madrid are reportedly interested in him as a replacement for Mariano Diaz, who is set to leave on a free transfer. Speaking on international duty with Spain, Rodrigo said that he was focused on the national team and did not know what would happen with his future, but he had a contract with Leeds that needed to be protected. Meanwhile, Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier may also be leaving the club. Chelsea have shown interest in the 23-year-old Frenchman, but Meslier has said that he would only be interested in going to a club where he would be the number one goalkeeper and get more game time.
