Real Madrid believe they are leading the way in their pursuit of Jude Bellingham, ahead of both Liverpool and Manchester United.

The 19-year-old looks set to leave Borussia Dortmund in the summer, with the Bundesliga giants holding out for a fee of more than £100million.

Bellingham has been linked with moves to Liverpool, both Manchester clubs, and Paris Saint-Germain, but The Sun say Real Madrid are confident they are winning the race.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti believes the England international will snub a move to the Premier League, and instead, head to the Spanish capital.

Los Blancos are on the lookout for a replacement for 37-year-old Luka Modric, and have earmarked Bellingham as someone who can fill the Croatia international’s shoes.

The idea of a midfield quartet including Bellingham, Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelian Tchouameni, is the club’s plan for next summer.

A guaranteed starting berth in a new-look midfield could be the key for Madrid, having previously sold Casemiro to Man United.

Liverpool are desperate to sign the England international, as Jurgen Klopp looks to freshen up and bolster his midfield.

Man United believe they are still in the race, and Pep Guardiola’s Man City are expected to bid for the star, with former teammate Erling Haaland keen for Bellingham to join him at the Etihad Stadium.

However, should the Stourbridge-born midfielder make the switch to the Santiago Bernabeu, Real believe he will become an icon.

Since joining Dortmund, Bellingham has scored 19 goals and contributed 21 assists in 112 matches.

He was also handed the club captaincy earlier this campaign, and thrived for England at the World Cup in Qatar.
