On Saturday 17th June, Scotland will face Norway in the Euro 2024 qualifier at Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo. Jack Hendry, a centre-back for Scotland, is looking forward to the challenge of taking on Erling Haaland, who scored 52 goals for Manchester City this season. Hendry has previous experience playing against some of the world’s best players, such as Neymar, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe, in the Champions League. He is confident that this experience will help him in the upcoming match.
Hendry believes that studying Haaland’s playing style and coming up with the best solution to deal with him will be key to success. He has also been able to gain confidence from playing in the Champions League and from his loan spell at Cremonese in Serie A. The absence of Grant Hanley and Scott McKenna has increased Hendry’s chances of adding to his 21 Scotland caps.
