Rangers vs Ross County Postponed Due to Bad Weather
The Scottish Premiership match between Rangers and Ross County has been postponed due to severe weather conditions. Ross County was unable to travel to Ibrox from Dingwall because of heavy snow, rain, and strong winds affecting the A9, Scotland’s longest road.
Adverse Weather Conditions Impacting Travel
Sections of the A9 have been closed or at a standstill, making it impossible for Ross County to make the journey to Glasgow. The decision to postpone the match was made after consultation with Police Scotland.
Rangers’ Position in the League
Rangers, currently sitting in second place, are five points behind league leaders Celtic with two games in hand. The postponed fixture with Ross County could have been an opportunity for them to close the gap.
Statement from Rangers
Rangers issued a brief statement regarding the postponement: “Despite the Ibrox playing surface being in good condition and ready to host the match, adverse weather conditions on the A9 means our visitors have been unable to reach Glasgow. A new date for the fixture will be confirmed in due course.”
Both teams will have to wait for the rescheduled date to face each other in the Scottish Premiership.
