Test Your Knowledge: Players Who Have Played for Both Liverpool and Wolves
With Liverpool travelling to Molineux for a fixture against Wolves on Saturday, why not get in the mood by testing yourself on some past players to wear both shirts? The Reds are firm favourites for the clash against Wolves, and have been for most of their history. Over the years, 27 players have appeared for both teams.
To get all of them would be too hard, though, so we’re going easy and asking you to name every double agent to be born since the Second World War in 1945. Every one of these players made at least one competitive appearance for Liverpool. We’re also going to give an honourable mention to Jimmy Melia who was born in 1937. He played 268 times for the Reds, winning the 1964 league title in his last season at the club.

John Aldridge was a prolific striker who played for both Liverpool and Wolves. He joined the Reds in 1987 and scored 63 goals in 104 appearances, before moving to Wolves in 1989. He scored 12 goals in 33 games for Wolves before retiring in 1992.
Steve Harkness (born 1966)
Steve Harkness was a defender who played for both Liverpool and Wolves. He joined the Reds in 1989 and made over 100 appearances for the club before joining Wolves in 1994. He made over 50 appearances for Wolves before retiring in 1998.
Robbie Keane (born 1980)
Robbie Keane was a forward who played for both Liverpool and Wolves. He joined the Reds in 2008 and scored 7 goals in 28 appearances, before moving to Wolves in 2009. He scored 5 goals in 12 games for Wolves before retiring in 2016.
David James (born 1970)
David James was a goalkeeper who played for both Liverpool and Wolves. He joined the Reds in 1992 and made over 200 appearances for the club before joining Wolves in 2004. He made over 50 appearances for Wolves before retiring in 2010.
Mark Kennedy (born 1974)
Mark Kennedy was a midfielder who played for both Liverpool and Wolves. He joined the Reds in 1995 and made over 100 appearances for the club before joining Wolves in 2002. He made over 50 appearances for Wolves before retiring in 2011.
