Paris Saint-Germain Considering Offloading Striker Goncalo Ramos in January Transfer Window
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is reportedly considering selling striker Goncalo Ramos during the January transfer window, just six months after his arrival at the club. Ramos, who joined PSG from Benfica last summer, has struggled to make an impact this season, scoring only four goals in 19 appearances. Reports suggest that head coach Luis Enrique is not convinced that Ramos is a long-term solution for the team’s attack.
Ramos had an impressive performance with Portugal at the World Cup in Qatar last year and finished the previous season with 27 goals for Benfica. Manchester United had shown interest in signing the 22-year-old in the summer but ultimately chose Rasmus Hojlund instead.
Ramos’ lackluster performance at PSG, combined with rumors of him struggling with a virus, has raised doubts about his future at the club. PSG’s hierarchy is now considering the possibility of selling Ramos if the right offer comes in this month.
Meanwhile, Manchester United continues to struggle for goals this season, with Hojlund being their only reliable option up top. Last year, United captain Bruno Fernandes expressed his belief that Ramos has the potential to become one of the best strikers in the world and thrive in English football.
Arsenal and Chelsea are also reportedly in the market for a new striker this month.
