Premier League Top Goal Scorers

Date:

Harry Kane has overtaken Wayne Rooney to become the second highest goalscorer in Premier League history with 209 goals in 317 games for Tottenham. Alan Shearer holds the record for the most goals in Premier League history with 260. Kane is the only active player in the top ten, and is currently 52 goals away from breaking the all-time record. He holds the record for the most goals for a single Premier League club, with Sergio Aguero previously holding the record of 184 goals for Manchester City. Rooney scored 183 Premier League goals during his time at Manchester United, whilst Arsenal legend Thierry Henry scored 175 league goals for Arsene Wenger during his spell in English football. Kane is out of contract with Tottenham in the summer of 2024 and, if he does leave Spurs, he is said to be keen on staying in England in order to break Shearer’s outright record.
