# Wolves Boss Gary O’Neil Talks to Football Focus About Life as a Premier League Manager
Gary O’Neil is the manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers, one of the top teams in the Premier League. In an exclusive interview with Football Focus reporter Kelly Somers, he talks about the reality of life as a Premier League manager and his aspirations for the club.
## The Reality of Life as a Premier League Manager
O’Neil is no stranger to the pressures of managing a top-flight team. He has been in charge of Wolves since 2019 and has seen his side compete in the Europa League and finish in the top half of the Premier League table.
He believes that the key to success is to have a clear plan and stick to it. “You have to have a clear vision of what you want to achieve and then work hard to make it happen,” he says.
He also stresses the importance of having a good team around you. “You need to have the right people in place, from the players to the staff, who can help you achieve your goals,” he adds.
## Aspirations for the Club
O’Neil’s main goal is to make Wolves a consistent top-six team in the Premier League. He believes that this is achievable and that the club has the potential to be even higher up the table.
He also wants to continue to build on the success of last season, when Wolves reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League. “We want to keep pushing forward and competing at the highest level,” he says.
Finally, O’Neil wants to create a strong connection between the club and its fans. “We want our supporters to be proud of what we are doing and to feel like they are part of our journey,” he says.
