Premier League Announces Start and End Dates for the 2024/25 Season
The Premier League has officially confirmed the start and end dates for the upcoming 2024/25 season. With a 90-day gap between the conclusion of the current campaign and the beginning of the next, fans can now look forward to what lies ahead.
Season Commencement and International Tournaments
The 2024/25 Premier League season will kick off on August 17, allowing players involved in Euro 2024 and Copa America little time to rest and recover before returning for pre-season with their clubs.
Liverpool, in particular, will have several key players participating in these international tournaments, including Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Diogo Jota.
Season Conclusion
The Premier League will conclude on May 25, 2025, with all games taking place simultaneously, as is customary.
Festive Period and Bank Holiday Matches
The Premier League has emphasized that no club will play within 60 hours of another match during the festive period. Additionally, there will be no fixtures on Christmas Eve in 2024, unlike this year.
The 2024/25 season will consist of 33 weekends, four midweek rounds, and one Bank Holiday matchweek.
Summer Plans for Liverpool
With the dates now confirmed, Liverpool can start finalizing their plans for the summer. This may include another trip to Europe for a training camp and a potential tour of some kind.
