Laurent Robert, a former Premier League winger, has recently posted a photo of himself enjoying a glass of wine and fans have commented on how he still looks handsome at the age of 48. Over the past two decades, football fans have seen some of England’s finest left wingers, including Ryan Giggs and Robert Pires. However, not many possessed as much power in their left foot as Robert did during his time at Newcastle. One of his shots was measured at an extraordinary 75 mph, and even his own teammates were forced to take cover after he inadvertently knocked out Olivier Bernard while playing for the Magpies. Robert was born in France and made his breakthrough with Montpellier before Paris Saint-Germain signed him up in 1999. After displaying his skills, a big-money move to the Premier League arrived, and Sir Bobby Robson signed him up for £9.5 million two years later. Robert spent five years on Tyneside and became a firm favourite with the Toon Army, scoring 32 goals in 181 games for the club. After a short loan spell at Portsmouth, he joined Benfica in Portugal in 2006. However, his wonder goals began to dry up, and he moved to Spain to play for Levante. In 2008, he was offered the opportunity to resurrect his career back in England with Derby County, but a disappointing spell followed that amounted to just four games. He then signed for MLS side Toronto FC and scored once in 17 appearances for the Canadian club before heading back to Europe to finish his playing days with a brief spell at Greek minnows Larissa. Despite turning 48 on May 21, Robert still looks incredible now and has aged like a fine wine according to supporters who commented on his recent photo.
